hello there! it's been a couple of months but I thought I'd fill you all in on what's going on over here in camp TFTR. As we've mentioned in past posts, we have a split EP coming out in October with Coventry's EFK. There's been a bit of a delay on the release of this EP but it is coming, we promise! Our 3 songs can be heard by clicking the link below:

We've been getting some great feedback from this so take a listen and let us know what you think, share with your friends and spread the word. You can also pre-order the EP (which incidentally has hand-carved custom artwork by ACDSleeve) via the link above.

We're feeling very prolific at the moment so in conjunction with this, we're also self-releasing a 5-track EP ourselves. This EP is going to have 5 other brand new songs on it and we're limiting it to a run of 50 CD's with custom artwork by Martin TFTR. Each of the 50 EP's will have it's own unique sleeve taken from the overall piece of art designed by Martin. It's going to be very special. More news on that in the coming weeks hopefully.

ALSO, we have ANOTHER split EP coming out with some very special friends of ours who we've gigged with many times over the years. We're really looking forward to this one so we'll keep you updated with more info as soon as we can. We're recording 3 new songs for this in early November. They are sounding scarily good (if we do say ourselves).

Busy times ahead

Hi World,

Busy time for TFTR recently.

We are working on loads of new material, getting ready for another recording session. Sounding good so far! We have a couple of gigs coming soon, 23rd of July at Woody's Bar in Cannock and 30th of July at The Wagon and Horses in Digbeth. Both should be good nights so come say Yo!

You will no doubt be aware of the Split EP due out in September through Damage Limitation Records. You can pre-order your copy on the link included in this post. We will be hosting a couple of gigs to support the release so I'm sure we'll see some of you there also.

So, the sun is out, let's get on with summer.

Gig: 'Endless Nameless' at The Hare and Hounds

Busy Week!

It's been all business in the TFTR camp these last few days. On Thursday we had an interesting gig at the O2 Academy3. Interesting in that there were no more than 20 people in the audience, most of which were the support bands! Another impressive "Promotion" job!
Then things got interesting; On Saturday we headed back to the studio at 'Loud Noises Productions' and had our album mixed and mastered.
It.
Is.
Huge.
A really large organic sound which we are all chuffed with. It's already on it's way to labels so watch this space.
Last Night (Tuesday) we supported AC4, again at the O2 Academy3. Much better night than the last one, still not a huge crowd but a much better atmosphere. Great set by ourselves, which was well received by those in attendance, followed by a storming hardcore punk set by AC4. On the whole a solid night!
So onwards and upwards, keep your eyes open for further updates on the album and we'll see you at a gig soon!

Final Mix Day!

So this is it folks!
We're heading back into the studio and will not be leaving without the album fully mixed.

Studio Time

So today we're off back into the studio for a few tweaks to the album and then we should be fully mixed and mastered by the end of the month. It's all sounding great so far, can't wait for you guys to hear it!

Album Nearing Completion and Gig

So we're off back into the studio to do some final tweaks to the album next weekend then within the month it will be mixed and mastered. Exciting times!

An Interesting Night

So, last night was the gig at the Flapper. Now we, The Fall, The Rise, enjoy a challenge. This one was new to us though.
To arrive at the venue with all our gear ready to play to be told that the gig was cancelled was an interesting experience. But, to our credit and a testament to our stubbornness, we were ready to play (and a 'little' peeved at not being informed in advance by the 'promoter') so with a little negotiation we got the engineer and the bar to let us play anyway.
What then ensued was a blistering extended set from a band who were gig ready and hungry for some live action. An intimate affair for the 20 odd people who came to see us, but still it was a good test for the new material.
We ended up having a fun night after the initial, how do you say, fury!
Thanks to those who turned up for us, we'll see you (and more) at Scruffy Murphy's on September 19th.
