Music coming your way...

hello there! it's been a couple of months but I thought I'd fill you all in on what's going on over here in camp TFTR. As we've mentioned in past posts, we have a split EP coming out in October with Coventry's EFK. There's been a bit of a delay on the release of this EP but it is coming, we promise! Our 3 songs can be heard by clicking the link below:

Listen here!

We've been getting some great feedback from this so take a listen and let us know what you think, share with your friends and spread the word. You can also pre-order the EP (which incidentally has hand-carved custom artwork by ACDSleeve) via the link above.

We're feeling very prolific at the moment so in conjunction with this, we're also self-releasing a 5-track EP ourselves. This EP is going to have 5 other brand new songs on it and we're limiting it to a run of 50 CD's with custom artwork by Martin TFTR. Each of the 50 EP's will have it's own unique sleeve taken from the overall piece of art designed by Martin. It's going to be very special. More news on that in the coming weeks hopefully.

ALSO, we have ANOTHER split EP coming out with some very special friends of ours who we've gigged with many times over the years. We're really looking forward to this one so we'll keep you updated with more info as soon as we can. We're recording 3 new songs for this in early November. They are sounding scarily good (if we do say ourselves).

How's that for an update!?!

If you're a promoter in the Midlands, please give us a shout on facebook (www.facebook.com/thefalltherise) or band@thefalltherise.co.uk

Peace. Out.

Recording Booked

Hello there everyone. It's been a month or two since the last post so I thought I'd get my arse in gear and get something on here in the form of an update.
We've been busy writing away at our studio for a couple of months now and I think we're very nearly there with the new album. There are a couple of loose ends to tie up but to make it more official, we've booked 5 days in the studio from 15th - 19th April! The new album will most probably be 10 songs (...more if we're suddenly very prolific in the coming month) and is tentatively titled "Standing on the Precipice".
We did find time in the last month to venture out to Leamington Spa and 'test' these new songs in a live environment. I think it was the first set we've done in a long time where no songs from "Interlopers" were included. A milestone I think! All songs felt great to play and got a fantastic response from the very friendly Leamington types so we personally can't wait to hear them recorded.

New Year, New Album

Hi everyone and a Happy New Year to you all. Hopefully you've all overindulged over Christmas and had plenty of top prezzies from Santa. I know I did.
We had our first practice on Sunday after a week or two's break and it sounded good. We've got the majority of a new album written now and the new ideas are still coming fast. We've taken a look at a local studio we're going to be recording the album in so it's just a matter of time now. We're aiming for mid-March I think. Exciting!

In other news we've booked a gig in Royal Leamington Spa on 5th Feb at the Robins Well. Come down and say hello. We'd love to see your face.

Recording...1 week to go!

I'm excited. There's one week to go until we head into the studio and record new songs! It feels pretty good to say that I can tell you.
We've been kind of stuck under all of the unwanted 'business' crap surrounding our 1st album Interlopers, and while it is still a really fine debut album and we're still really proud, it was nearly 4 years ago when we first started recording the music that would later become Interlopers. 4 damn years!!! The really is no point dwelling on why this has taken so long...the point is - We're ready for something new now and by jove, we've got a nice batch of new songs that are really, really good. :-)
Its also worth noting that this will be the first recording with our new bass player Rich which is pretty special. We're not gonna record all the new songs straight away but we've picked 3 (or maybe 2) for when we go into the studio this 1st time. Gavin Monaghan (who has recently worked with the like of Editors, The Twang and many many more) will be producing us which is gonna be pretty damn good. Keep your eyes out for updates on here and no doubt those new songs up on our MySpace very soon.
Speak soon! - Simon
